Michael accepts briefs in all areas of civil law including commercial law, equity, taxation and public law, and has a particular interest in contractual disputes.

He was admitted to practice in 2009 after working as Tipstaff and Researcher to the President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal, the Hon Justice J L B Allsop AO (now Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia), and was called to the Bar in 2016 after practising as a solicitor at leading national, international and global law firms.

He has experience in significant commercial litigation in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Federal Court of Australia and High Court of Australia, including large class actions, as well as complex financial services and tax disputes.

He tutors in contract law at the University of Sydney and is a reporter / headnote author for various law reports series including the Australian Corporations and Securities Law Reports, Administrative Law Decisions, Australian Law Reports, Australian Tax Reports, Federal Court Reports and New South Wales Law Reports.
