Michael advises and appears in all areas of commercial law, equity and tax.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Michael was Tipstaff and Researcher to the President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal, the Hon Justice J L B Allsop AO (now Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia), practised as a solicitor at Allens, Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Herbert Smith Freehills (including secondments to Macquarie Bank and National Australia Bank), and completed Masters of Laws and Tax at the University of Sydney.

Michael has experience in a broad range of commercial litigation in the High Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court of New South Wales, District Court of New South Wales, Local Court of New South Wales and New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal. He has also advised Australian and international companies, trustees, and investment and retail banks in complex commercial, corporate, financial services and tax investigations and disputes.

Michael is a reporter for the Commonwealth Law Reports and tutors at the University of Sydney.
