Robert Carey

Robert was admitted as a solicitor in 1996 and practiced as a solicitor for 16 years before coming to the Bar in 2011. Robert started his career at Moray & Agnew in Sydney and subsequently worked at Allens and Wotton + Kearney in Sydney and Clyde & Co in London.

Throughout his career he has worked predominantly in the area of commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on all classes of insurance and reinsurance, as well as building and construction disputes. He has continued to work in those areas since coming to the bar and has appeared as an advocate on his own in the Supreme, District and Local Courts as well as the AAT and NSW ADT. Robert has also been led by Senior Counsel in a number of more complex commercial matters in the Federal Court and the Supreme Court.
