Shanaka Jayasuriya

Shanaka accepts briefs in all areas of the law, including commercial and public law.

Prior to being called to the Bar in 2016, Shanaka worked as a solicitor for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in London and for Henry Davis York in Sydney. In 2014 he was the Tipstaff to Justice McColl AO of the Court of Appeal of New South Wales and in 2013 Tipstaff to Justice Robb of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Shanaka received First Class Honours in Law from the University of Oxford, where he was a Broughton and Forrest Exhibitioner. Shanaka also holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford.
