Dr Mark Brabazon SC, FCIArb practises as a barrister and arbitrator.
He has exceptional expertise in Australian and international taxation, including the taxation of trusts and transparent entities. He holds a PhD from Sydney in international tax and is the author of International Taxation of Trust Income: Principles, Planning and Design (Cambridge University Press, 2019) and ‘The Application of Tax Treaties to Fiscally Transparent Entities’ in the Global Tax Treaty Commentaries (IBFD). His tax practice covers advice, audits and investigations, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation. He acts for private and government clients. He is recommended as a tax barrister by Doyle’s Guide.
Mark also has wide experience in commercial and civil law. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is an expert on legal costs and the regulation of the legal profession in New South Wales.
Mark is the chair of the Council of Law Reporting for New South Wales.
