David Price
David has practised as a barrister since 2006. Before that, he had been a solicitor for over 10 years at a large commercial firm and had been the tipstaff to the late Hon Justice Cohen of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
His primary areas of practice include commercial disputes, mortgages & securities, equity & trusts, land law, sports law and wills & estates. He appears in trials and appellate matters in both state and federal jurisdictions and has appeared in various commissions of inquiry. David also has substantial experience in conducting mediations both as counsel and as the mediator.
David has written a textbook on the limitation of actions and a casebook on constitutional law, the seventh edition of which will be published in 2024. He has contributed articles to various journals.
Outside his practice, David is actively involved in surf lifesaving. He is the Director of Lifesaving for his Club, a Patrol Captain, a trainer and assessor, an IRB driver and an RWC (jet-ski) operator. He also provides legal advice to various Surf Life Saving entities and sits on Judiciary Panels at both the Branch and State levels. He has also competed in several Ironman triathlons.
