Mark Brabazon SC
Mark is an experienced and reliable silk practising in tax, equity and trusts, commercial law, public and administrative law, and professional regulation. His clients include individuals, trustees, corporations and government authorities. He is sought out in particular for advice on international, Federal and State taxation and on trusts in tax and non-tax situations.
He holds a PhD from Sydney in international tax law and teaches advanced international tax in the Melbourne Law Masters programme. He is the author of International Taxation of Trust Income: Principles, Planning and Design (Cambridge University Press, 2019) and ‘The Application of Tax Treaties to Fiscally Transparent Entities’ in the Global Tax Treaty Commentaries (IBFD).
Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and an expert on legal costs and the regulation of the legal profession. He chaired the Council of Law Reporting for NSW from 2016 to 2021.
