The Hon Peter Jacobson KC was a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia from 17 June 2002 until 24 January 2015.

He sat on cases at first instance and on appeals in most areas of the Court's jurisdiction, but most particularly in the fields of commercial and company law, insolvency, and competition law. His caseload included a substantial number of class actions.

Prior to his appointment to the Federal Court he was a member of 7 Selborne Chambers, practising in commercial law, company law, trade practices and equity.
